Description
Lumishore flood light
Lumishore ECLIPSE 18" Flood Light — White
A large-format marine flood light delivering 10,000 fixture lumens of crisp 5500 K white light through a wide 70°–90° oval beam from a 40 cm (18-inch) low-profile articulating fixture. The ECLIPSE 18" is the white-only, maximum-output sibling to the LUX 18" — it prioritizes raw white-light intensity with a simpler 2-wire installation. This page keeps the lumen output, current draw, mounting dimensions, and ECLIPSE ecosystem compatibility high on the page so you can confirm the right large-format flood choice before ordering.

What’s included
- 1× Lumishore ECLIPSE 18" Flood Light fixture (white housing)
- Stainless-steel articulating mounting brackets with M6 fasteners, nylon insert nuts, and nylon washers
Best fit
Best for bow, deck-wide, spreader, and security flood illumination on ECLIPSE-ecosystem or mixed-system boats where maximum white-light output over a large area is the priority and color capability is not required.
Why choose this flood light
- 10,000 fixture lumens of white — the highest in the 18" family: Because all power goes to a single 5500 K white LED array, the ECLIPSE 18" delivers 33% more fixture lumens than the LUX 18" (10,000 vs. 7,500), making it the choice for maximum deck or spreader visibility.
- HICOB LED array, 50,000+ hour life: Three 10 W high-intensity chip-on-board LEDs in a 40 cm housing provide even, powerful coverage with no lamp replacements needed for the life of the boat.
- Ultra-wide 70°–90° oval beam: Broad-area deck and cockpit coverage; ideal for cabin tops, T-tops, arches, transoms, and radar pedestals on larger vessels.
- Simple 2-wire installation: Basic operation requires only a 2-wire connection to a latching or momentary switch. Compatible with the ECLIPSE Command Center for dimming and zone control on 12 V vessels, or the EOS-LUX Command Center for mixed ECLIPSE + LUX installs.
- IP68 powder-coated aluminium construction: No bonding required; salt-spray tested; designed for permanent exterior mounting in the harshest marine environments. Risk Group 2 photobiological safety rating — do not stare at the operating light from within 21 cm.
- Authorized dealer support: buy from MyGreenOutdoors with Garmin- and Lumishore-focused product help and fast shipping on qualifying orders.

Compatibility & control
The ECLIPSE 18" operates on any 10.5–31 V DC supply with a 2-wire on/off switch. For zone dimming and scheduling, use the ECLIPSE Command Center (12 V only). The EOS-LUX Command Center is also compatible for on/off and dimming in mixed ECLIPSE + LUX installations.
- ECLIPSE Command Center (60-0495) — zone control for ECLIPSE lights; 12 V boats; up to 3 zones (expandable)
- ECLIPSE Single Expansion Module (60-0496) — adds 1 zone; ECLIPSE Dual Expansion Module (60-0497) adds 2 zones
- EOS-LUX Command Center (60-0366) — compatible for on/off and basic dimming in mixed installs; MFD connection via Garmin (60-0372) or Simrad / B&G (60-0373) conversion cables

- Lumishore LUX 18" Flood Light CRGBW (010-04461-00) — same 18" chassis with full CRGBW output (7,500 fixture lumens) and LUX Smart Lighting MFD integration; choose this for color scenes
- Lumishore ECLIPSE 4" Flood Light (010-04458-00) — compact 4" white flood (1,500 fixture lumens) for smaller accent-flood applications

Frequently asked questions
What is the key difference between the ECLIPSE 18" and the LUX 18"?
The ECLIPSE 18" is white-only (5500 K, 10,000 fixture lumens) with a simpler 2-wire connection. The LUX 18" is full CRGBW (7,500 fixture lumens, power shared across 5 channels) with a 3-wire data connection and native MFD integration. Choose the ECLIPSE for maximum white output; choose the LUX for color scenes and smart-lighting integration.
What wire gauge do I need for the ECLIPSE 18"?
At 9.2 A max draw on 12 V, a minimum of 12 AWG wire is recommended for short runs (under ~2 m). For longer runs, upsize per ABYC guidelines. Each lighting circuit should be individually fused.
Does the ECLIPSE 18" work on a 24 V boat?
Yes, the ECLIPSE 18" operates on 10.5–31 V DC. However, the ECLIPSE Command Center is 12 V only. For 24 V boat zone control, use the EOS-LUX Command Center instead.
Is bonding required for the ECLIPSE 18"?
No. Unlike the Lumishore TIX thru-hull camera and some other underwater hardware, the ECLIPSE 18" flood light does not require electrical bonding.
What is the photobiological risk group warning?
The ECLIPSE 18" is rated Risk Group 2 (IEC 62471). The RG2 hazard boundary is 21 cm from the lens — do not look directly at the operating light at close range. Normal in-use installation well above deck level eliminates any practical hazard.
What is the warranty?
Current Lumishore product pages state 3 years; an older 2021 datasheet shows 2 years. Verify the warranty period at purchase. MyGreenOutdoors is a Garmin and Lumishore authorized dealer.
How are the mounting brackets installed?
The stainless-steel brackets use M6 bolts through 6.5 mm holes spaced 186 mm apart. Nylon washers must be placed inside the bracket before tightening. Torque the bracket bolts to 5 Nm maximum — do not overtighten.
