Compatibility & control

The ECLIPSE SMX24 supports two control modes. Note: the SMX24 is 12 V only — it is not compatible with 24 V systems.

• On/off switch (standalone): cycles White → Blue → Random Strobe → Color Fade via simple 2-wire connection. ECLIPSE Command Center not required.
• ECLIPSE Command Center (sold separately): adds zone-level dimming, color selection, strobe, sound-to-light, and MFD or Wi-Fi control via Garmin, Raymarine, Simrad/B&G, Furuno, Lowrance, or Humminbird MFDs (12 V systems only)

Hull isolation kit required for metal, aluminum, or carbon fibre hulls.

Can I use the SMX24 Blue/White on a 24 V system?
No — the ECLIPSE SMX24 is 12 V DC only (10.5–15 V DC). For 24 V systems, choose the ECLIPSE SMX54 (79335) or ECLIPSE SMX94 (79336).

Do I need the ECLIPSE Command Center?
No — the SMX24 works standalone with a basic on/off switch that cycles through White, Blue, Strobe, and Color Fade modes. The Command Center (sold separately) is optional and adds MFD integration and zone dimming.

Can the SMX24 connect to a Garmin MFD?
Yes — when paired with the ECLIPSE Command Center, the SMX24 integrates with compatible Garmin MFDs on 12 V systems. Direct MFD control without a Command Center is not available.

What is the difference between the Blue/White version and the single-color Blue version?
The Blue/White (79316) includes both blue and white LED channels in the same 70 mm housing, allowing color selection and cycling. The Blue-only (79314) has the blue channel only — no white — at a lower price.

Is the SMX24 IP68 rated?
Yes. IP68 for continuous submersion. Marine bronze housing with Borosilicate glass lens.
