Yes. The TIX402 outputs HD-SDI and composite video via BNC. Any Garmin MFD with a composite or HDMI video input — including the GPSMAP 8400 and 8600 series — can display the camera feed. For HDMI-only displays, add the optional Lumishore HD-SDI to HDMI Converter (PN 39-0050).

Can I install the TIX402 myself?
The TIX402 is a thru-hull installation that requires a precise 57mm hull cutout, proper bonding, and a watertight seal. We recommend professional installation by a qualified marine electrician or boatyard.

Does the camera have to be removed before hauling the boat?
No. The thru-hull housing is designed to stay installed. If service is needed, the interchangeable camera module can be removed from inside the boat without hauling out or going in the water.

What's the warranty on the Lumishore TIX402?

Is the TIX402 the same camera as the Garmin underwater camera?
The TIX402 is now a Garmin product (Garmin acquired Lumishore in October 2024) and carries Garmin MPN 010-04355-00. The hardware, design, and manufacturing remain unchanged — it is the same Lumishore TIX402, now sold under the Garmin/Lumishore brand.

Does the camera include the HDMI converter?
No. The HD-SDI to HDMI Converter is sold separately (Lumishore PN 39-0050).

What's the depth rating?
The TIX402 is IP68-rated for continuous submersion. A specific maximum operational depth is not published by Lumishore — for installations on deep-draft vessels or specialized applications, contact us to confirm with Garmin/Lumishore.
