Out of the box the kit provides toggle-switch control (on/off + mode) for up to four SUPRA SMX54 lights via the included i-Connect Hub Switch. For full MFD-integrated color and zone control, add the SUPRA Bridge Module (PN 010-04361-00, sold separately). Hubs communicate via Lumi-Link DMX (3-pin M12) — not NMEA 2000 and not generic Ethernet. MFD integration via Bridge Module uses the Garmin Marine Network (proprietary Ethernet).

Is the SUPRA SMX i-Connect Kit required for SMX54 lights?
The i-Connect Hub and Switch are required to make a functional SUPRA SMX54 installation — the lights connect to the hub for power distribution, switching, and fusing. You can use the hub-only kit (010-04356-00) as an expansion hub once the primary kit is already installed.

Can I control SMX54 lights from a Garmin MFD with this kit alone?
Not by itself. This kit provides switch control only. To unlock full Garmin OneHelm MFD control, add the SUPRA Bridge Module (010-04361-00). The Bridge Module connects to this hub's Lumi-Link DMX data port and bridges to your Garmin Marine Network — not NMEA 2000.

How many lights can I expand to?
Up to 4 SMX lights per hub, and up to 4 hubs per installation, for a maximum of 16 SMX54 lights. Additional hubs are connected via DMX extension cables (sold separately).

What happens if a fuse blows on one light channel?
Each light channel has its own individually replaceable blade fuse. Replace only the blown fuse — the remaining lights continue operating. The status LED for that channel will be off, making identification quick.

Is this a Garmin product following the 2024 acquisition?
Yes. Garmin acquired Lumishore in October 2024. The SUPRA SMX i-Connect Installation Kit now carries Garmin MPN 010-04443-00 and is backed by Garmin's service and warranty network. The product hardware is unchanged.

Can I mount the hub in a bilge or wet locker?
Yes. The hub enclosure is IP68-rated, making it suitable for bilge, under-deck, and other wet-area installations without requiring additional waterproof housing.
