Compatibility & control

The ORA SMX11 is a standalone light controlled by a standard marine on/off switch (user-supplied). It does not connect to any Lumishore command center, hub, or MFD. This makes it the simplest Lumishore light to install — wire it like any 12 V DC accessory and switch it from your helm or a dedicated panel switch.

Why do anglers prefer green underwater lights?

Can I control the SMX11 from my Garmin chartplotter?

Is the SMX11 suitable for above-waterline mounting?
Yes. IP68-rated and equipped with Active Thermal Rollback (ATRB), it can be used above the waterline. Best underwater glow is at 100–300 mm below the waterline.

Does the SMX11 work on 24 V systems?
No. The SMX11 requires 12 V DC only (10–14 V operating range). Do not connect to a 24 V supply.

What sealant is required for installation?
3M 4200 marine sealant is specified in Lumishore installation manual 45-0238-Rev-A. Apply to the mounting footprint and around the cable hole.

What is the warranty?

How does this compare to the Blue and White SMX11?
